I think you should grade with .5s, because a 9/10 is a B+, and that is definetly not what you wrote about in that review.  Seems more like a 9.5.

So anyway, the game sounds awesome and the review (without the whole b+ thing) makes me wish the 127 hours in between me and PH never existed.

Why not grade with .1s? If it's REALLY good, you could give it a 9.8 or 9.9, instead of a 9 or 9.5.

In our new review format, I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5, but for now we're limited to whole #s.  I know, lame, but I honestly did feel like it was more a 9 than a 10...

Can't wait for it. It'll be something to do on the car ride to San Diego to see my sister's friend graduate from Marine School. And remember GS's review on TP? An 8.9? GANNON-BANNED! I know you don't take the site seriously, Mike, but still. And erneighbour is GANNON-BANNED because he spelled Ganon wrong XD

I remember reading a whole page of gannon-baned stuff once...

But seriously, the negative things are the music, the dungeon themes, and the music.

Luckily, I play my portable games with the sound off, so it won't matter too much soundwise.

From what I've seen, the dungeons do seem a bit bland texture-wise (except the desert one), so I give people credit for saying that.  Otherwise, it is all an opinion.  You may hate the game because all you do is point and the item goes there or because you still think the sailing is boring, then that is your opinion.  So good day.

P.S. anyone who complains about the sword slashes not being accurate need muscle therapy.

Twilight Princess wasn't THAT stale. I thought it was good. And I also thought you gave it a 9.8. I loved TP, even though it was my first. Santuli liked it too iirc.

The reason Twilight Pricess got such a bad rap later on in the year is because there is zero replayability.  It makes sense; good reviews early on, bad reviews later.  Try playing through it again in about five years and you'll wonder how you could have hated such an awesome game.
PH apparently has much replay value, am I not correct?

Perhaps they will put out a last minute second quest that is incredibly hard?  That would increase its overall score to about a 10...

The only reason TP might have a little less replay value is because it's a bit more linear than the other games, but why some fans overexaggerate it so much is beyond me. None of the other games have good replay value, either, because nothing changes and they're still fairly linear. To be honest, TP has the best replay value for me because I could never get tired of going through that incredibly varied campaign.

A well-written review overall, but those last few paragraphs were too soap-box like for their own good. Other than that it's great.

I have Phantom Hourglass reserved, but I'm probably going to have to skip that. Right now I need to save money for Wii games and my class trip, and recently I've lost interest in the game. I'm sure I'll love it, but my enthusiasm for it isn't like it is for, say, Battalion Wars 2, Fire Emblem: RD, Brawl etc.

Pshaw...  There's nothing afterwards.

Once you beat the game, you can collect bugs and pieces of heart.  There's nothing new to spend your money on, so it is pointless collecting rupees, and the overworld is too linear to really explore.

I'm actually quite looking forward to this aspect of the game I can see me spending just as long getting every part so I can 'Pimp my Ride', if you like.
