Hmm I'm on the fence about this one. The trailer looks decent but the demo I played at VGxpo was very dry in terms of gameplay.

The story is what disappointed me the most about PH. THE MOST. And this one looks to have what the other was missing. Im DS-less, but man I want it bad...

I had plans to not watch this trailer and not to look up the story, but I couldn't resist. The story isn't that original, but the trailer was awesome. At first I wasn't that excited, but that changed after watching this trailer. 11 December can't come soon enough!

I dont know how I could say the story isn't original since I dont think I know what the story is =/
Only what I can infer from footage with no text or explanations.

It's really nice to see a Zelda game that looks like this on the DS... flaming boomerang!

Hahahahah, lol, its not. She's the Sage of the Spirit Tower, and, besides Link, the only one that can see Zelda's ghost.
Yea, apparently Zelda flippin dies. I thought it was more like her soul was taken from her body or something less depressing, kinda like in TP, but nope. Dead.

Dude that's totally depressing....of course at the end of the game they will find a way to revive her, so...yeah! xD

Zelda actually dies? where did you get that from?!
Santuli November 07, 2009, 02:19 PM
IGN's Rewind Theater. Idk if it was full speculation on their part what stuff meant, or if they actually get some extra info about the story that wasnt explicitly told in the trailer. But I think they did, cuz they knew names and who certain people were, like the Sage I mentioned. Yea Zelda will probably be revived...and if not, there will be another Zelda in the next game that follows

"Yea, apparently Zelda flippin dies. I thought it was more like her soul was taken from her body or something less depressing, kinda like in TP, but nope. Dead"
This was just speculation from Ign. I don't believe she really dies. She just loses her soul, and Link has to return the soul to her body.

I knew the story because I read it on the dutch Nintendo-site and it is now all over the internet.

Doesnt sound like speculation. They say it very confidently in both the Rewind Theater and the written Preview. To quote Craig Harris:
"I know all this because early last week I had the opportunity to visit Nintendo's San Francisco Bay Area office to check out The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in a shroud of epic secrecy. For about a half hour I was briefed with the game's storyline and checked out some of the early portions of the game's adventure. "
